Stay within 3 deposits and 3 withdrawals a month if you can; past that it’s ₹150 per transaction.

Cross ₹1,00,000 in a month and it’s ₹4 per ₹1,000; if both limits are breached, the higher charge applies.

ECS returns cost more: first ₹500, then ₹550 on 2nd and 3rd (cap 3 per month per mandate). GST applies.

Hold an ICICI Bank savings account? From 1 Dec 2026 your cash transactions, demand drafts and ECS debit return charges change.

What stays the same - You still get 3 free cash deposits and 3 free cash withdrawals per month. - The monthly value limit stays ₹1,00,000 each for deposits and for withdrawals.

What gets pricier (once you cross a limit) - Value-based fee on cash transactions moves from ₹3.50/₹1,000 to ₹4/₹1,000, or ₹150, whichever is higher. If you breach both the number and value limits, the higher of the two charges is levied.

Demand drafts (DDs) - Below ₹1,00,000: free. - ₹1,00,000 and above: ₹2 per ₹1,000, capped at ₹15,000.

ECS debit returns (for financial reasons) - First return: ₹500. - Second and third: ₹550 each. - Recovery capped at 3 instances per month for the same mandate.

GST applies to all charges.

What to do - Keep an eye on both counters: the 3 free transactions and the ₹1,00,000 monthly value cap. The higher charge applies if you cross both. - If you need a DD under ₹1,00,000, it’s ₹0 from 1 Dec 2026. - Keep funds ready to avoid ECS returns entirely.

Charges and caps can vary by account category under ICICI Bank’s Schedule of Charges. The figures above are the changes the bank has announced for 1 Dec 2026.
